While the NB-IOT relays on the NB-IOT local network and requires a sim card for each meter the LORA water meter has a concentrator which receives the meter readings using RF technology.
Usually the NB-IOT meters will be used in heavily populated areas while the LORA will be used in remote country side areas.
Both of our smart water meters will report meter readings twice a day and will generate alerts on water leakage, tempering and low battery.
The solution also allows to remotely close\open water flow of any residence it is installed in
NB-IoT Water Meter
NB-IoT water meter is a wireless telemeter based on private network, which is used
to measure the total volume of water flowing through the water supply pipe.
Water consumption data from the meter is directly transmitted to our Water management platform through NB-IOT network (without any intermediate equipment).
Product features
- IP68 Protection level: Double protection design with structural sealing plus gluing sealing, good waterproof performance.
- Separate mechanical and electrical structure design: the mechanical part and electronic part adopt modular design, which can be installed by screw combination, and the later maintenance is convenient.
- Parameter setting function: through the external infrared port, the preamplifier system can set the parameters of the meter end.
- Magnetic wakeup function: NB valve-controlled water meter comes with magnet, flip cover open 5Seconds, close 3Seconds can trigger upload, emergency open valve, open infrared and other functions open at the same time.
- Periodic reporting function: The meter side is equipped with daily regular reporting, interval reporting and whole point reporting functions optional.
- Data replenishment function: When the data is not successfully reported, the data is automatically replenished in the next replenishment cycle, and the replenishment cycle and replenishment times can be set.
- Time-sharing discrete reporting function: the upload time is discrete distributed to between 0~7 a.m. through the water meter electronic address number to prevent server congestion caused by a large number of terminals reporting at the same time.
- Abnormal alarm function: When there is a fault such as power failure or sensor abnormality, the meter end takes the initiative to upload the abnormal status to the backend server for early warning.
LORA Water Meter
Our Lora water meter is adopting wireless radio frequency technology, integrated micro-power multi channel embedded wireless module and the realization of the various parts of the wireless data transmission. The water can be used to realize remote measurement and storage, and can automatically detect the battery status.
It has the advantages of cost saving(1 concentrator with a sim card can support up to 1000 meters transmitting using RF dedicated frequency to it) and allows for a simple operation and convenient maintenance.
